Norman the Gnome's visit to my house!!

Well Norman, the rogue gnome from Scrapbookgraphics has been to my house, and he had a lot of fun! He sure did keep my family busy! So here's a recap of his visit.

First up, he spent a little time resting on the couch with Matthew and Tofu. He was still bandaged up from one of his previous visits. Then he insisted, much to Will's dismay, on running IN the cage with the bear at our local wildlife preserve! I can't believe there weren't more bandaids to follow that incident!

Then Kate gave him some hairdressing tips. Looks to me like he might have been tipsy at the time. She was trying to convince him that the eleventh grade look would work for him. He's not so sure...but he was trying not to hurt her feelings.

Then he spent a little more quality time with Matt, who was trying to convince him to go downtown to the local "Metal Show" with him. He wanted to go, but I thought the two of them together might end up in trouble.

So he spent the evening with Tofu instead. Wow, the two of them wound up on coffee together is something I just want to forget! They were trying to see who could squawk the loudest, and she taught him to say "here kitty kitty kitty..."

So the next day he tagged along with John on a scuba diving trip. John was a little aggrevated, as you can plainly see, but Norman had nitrogen narcosis and didn't seem to care in the slightest.

Lastly, he spent a little time with Jeremy. They want to go oversees and be court jesters, but I told Jeremy he can't skip fifth grade to go on the road with the gnome. I do, however, think Norman is on his way....I guess we'll find out!

So, I guess we'll see...he's bound to pop up somewhere. If you haven't met him yet, check him out here - Studio Skinny @ SBG Wow, I gotta go get some rest after a few days with this rambunctious houseguest!!!

See you all later!

ps: all headwear and bandaid from Studio Maya, and everything from his Cuppa Joe layout with Tofu from Studio Ronna

I did this layout with Maya's Highschool Confidential kit, with some doodles from Dani B's Digital Grafitti. This was way outside my "box", but I love how it turned out. Kate likes it too, she really enjoys my work, which is good because she is, obviously, my most featured subject! (the boys aren't quite as cooperative for me and my camera, especially Matt). I loved doing this layout, and I have a few more ideas for different kind of stuff like this, I like doing stuff that's not the "norm" for me, and that's part of why I'm so happy to be in Studio Crew...Maya (and the other Studio Girls, but especially Maya) has stuff that encourages me to go in directions with my work that I've not gone. This is good for me, and I suggest you might do some of the same. I"m going to try an "out=of-the-frame" layout, with a photo of my bird, and try to make it look like she's coming off the page. I'll let you know how it goes. Anyway, thanks for taking a peek here!

I've been tagged!!

...by Brenda Kempf at Addicted to Digital. Thanks for the easy one Brenda, this won't take me two days like some of the ones you see floating around!!

5 Weird Things…

1. I have a cockatoo, named Tofu, and she drinks coffee with me every day (yes right
out of my cup)!!
2. I have a beautiful 17-year old daughter and she still calls me Mommy!
3. I live with my in-laws, and it strangely enough works! (yeah, weird!!)
4. The big toe on my left foot is 1/4 inch longer than the one on my right foot!!
(had it shortened during bunion surgery)
5. I am totally obsessed with my digital camera and photoshop, although none of you
will find that weird, only my family does!!

Have a great day everybody, happy scrapping!! And be sure to sign up for the newsletter at Scrapbookgraphics - you never know...I might have had something to do with a certain goodie in it...

I'm part of the Studio Crew @Scrapbookgraphics!!

Wow, I'm excited...been keeping this one to myself for a while now. But I'm on the new Creative Team (the Studio Crew) for the designers at Scrapbookgraphics...such a bunch of talented women! I've loved these designers for so long (Ronna Penner was my first "fave" designer), and now they've added Meridith Fenwick and Sylvie (Sausan Designs). I've had a great time already working with the beautiful designs there already...there is so much to chose from it's hard to know where to begin! We've all been getting aquainted with each other and figuring out what our tasks are. Maya is amazing to work with, she is definitely the queen of digi-scrap if you ask me!!. You'll probably be seeing another one of my templates being given out real soon. Anyway, check it out , I love it!! Scrapbookgraphics

Yikes! I neglected my blog!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. I guess I've been busy...getting the kids back to school (uggh shopping), and we went to 1000 Islands for a diving trip, and last week we took the kids to Six Flags, and the kids and I rode the Superman roller coaster 10 times! I have to scan in the photo of the 4 of us that we got, it's so funny! We rode it over and over trying to perfect our pose. Anyway, I have a fun summer template almost done, and I'll be posting it soon. And...I have something else going on and I'll be doing some revamping of my blog soon! So, until next time...

Hey Peeps got a question...

So I've given away a couple of templates and have ideas upon ideas swirling around my mind for more. Do you think they are "sellable"? Would anybody out there buy these things from me? I am just looking for some preliminary feedback.
Thanks again!

Send me links for layouts you do with this, I have already seen one, and how cool it is to see layouts with MY template! Yeah! Digi-scrapping gets more fun everyday!

Tyler at Topsail Beach

I did this layout the other day, but I wanted to post it here because it's so cute! It's a scraplift of one of Christy Lyle's layouts.

A Free Layered Template!!

Well I'm finally giving this a try. These templates are quite the trend, and I like making them because I don't have to come up with cute titles and witty journaling...which is where I usually end up stuck. So I'm not gonna blab on about it, I'm just gonna post it and see if it works. Please if you try to download and the link has expired please let me know! I redid this link so it includes a preview, TOU and instructions. Ugghhhh I'm getting there....sometimes I think I'm too old to be learning all this stuff....just joking - it keeps my brain young!

Oh by the way, I had Oreo put down :( I miss her a lot, she was a wonderful pet. No more puppies....no more puppies....no more puppies.....maybe if I say it enough I'll be able to stick to it.

Oh and thanks Christy, you're awesome!

:(

I took Oreo to the vet yesterday because she has been lethargic for the last few days. They did bloodwork, x-rays and I was informed that she has terminal cancer. What a shock! I cried, and cried, and cried some more. I guess I'm going to have her put to sleep tomorrow....I don't want her to suffer, and she is. She won't come in the house, she hardly even gets up off the ground and she is having a lot of trouble breathing. I will miss her, and I'm sure I will be posting more of my layouts of her...but I probably won't do any more. I don't know....it's really hard to think about right now. I know one thing though....I am thanking God right now that it's not one of my kids. I can't imagine if it hurts this much when it's the dog....I just can't imagine. She's been a great pet, I love her so much. Tomorrow will be a really hard day. Oh well.....

Uggghhhh....

I am a bad blogger, just like all the other bad bloggers out there in blogland. Oh well, I haven't really felt too great this week, and I haven't scrapped much either. I have some new kits I have to get to work with for Christy, and I finally got my scraplift done, I'd been working on that one for a long time. So here it is, it's a lift of Amanda's Am I in There layout, which I love, it is what inspired me to buy the tag book kits to begin with. So, I guess now I better get busy, I want to have the three layouts from the new kits done today!!!
